1-19-12

January 19, 2012
The storm for tomorrow looks to still be in the 3-6" range across most of southern WI. There is still a chance that heavier snows work into the far southern part of the state. I would say as of now from Madison to Milwaukee north will be in the 3-4" range while from southern Dane county down to IL could see 5-7". Another storm will be in the picture for Sunday night into Monday which has become much more interesting as far as snow potential goes. Stay tuned.

1-17-12

January 18, 2012
Totals from today's storm ended up being in the 2-5" range as the system didn't become as strong as expected and moved along faster. Looks like Thursday is going to be downright frigid with highs in the single digits and wind chills below 0,  another shot at 3-6" of snow comes on Fri. into Fri.night. Friday looks to be another Winter Weather Advisory event with a chance at getting into a Winter Storm Warning and some heavier accumulations.

January 13, 2012
A little bit of light snow will fall across Wisconsin tomorrow with a chance of some freezing drizzle in the evening. Monday Night into Tuesday is shaping up to be another interesting round of weather. As of now looks like a similar event to yesterday's. This will be followed by cold temps and another snow chance on Thursday. Stay tuned for updates over the weekend as things become clearer.

1-11-12

January 12, 2012
Not much has changed from yesterday. Totals still look to be in the 4-7" range. Snow should start tonight and make for a mess in Madison for the morning commute and then continue through the day. It won't snow hard, but continually snow till late Thursday evening. Places west of Madison should end up with around 5" Madison area should top out around 6 to maybe 7" and Milwaukee and the eastern counties should end up with around 9". Elsewhere across Wisconsin 4-6" totals should be the norm exce...

1-10-12

January 11, 2012
Well looks like winter will finally show up. As of tonight it looks like most of southern Wisconsin should see 4-7" of snow Thursday through Friday morning. Highs on Fri should be in the low 20's and teens. Temps look to warm back up for the weekend and then take a tumble back to the teens on Tuesday with a chance of light snow on Monday night. As for the storm this week there are still a ton of details to work out, but most models point to at least a decent snow for the area. We will see wha...

3-3-11

March 3, 2011
Well the snow for tonight now looks like a rain/mix type event, and the one for Friday night is pretty much gone. Look for a couple showers tomorrow, but no snow. Next chance for snow looks to be Tues of next week, but that also could turn into a rain storm. Thats all for now.

3-1-11

March 1, 2011
Well the system last Sunday slid to the south of us and gave many freezing rain and rain. Looking into this week, there is a chance for a mix/snow on Thursday and Thursday night. Probably around 2 inches in Southern WI, with a little more up towards the La Crosse area. Then Friday night has the potential to be a major winter storm with 6-10" amounts. Stay tuned as the week goes by.

2-23-11

February 23, 2011
Well the storm for Fri. just doesn't want to come north. Still nothing to force it south, but  it just doesnt' want to come north. Still will see some flurries on Fri I would think. Sat. looks like we could see and 1"-2" of light snow. Then Sunday night into Monday still has the potential to bring some Winter Storm Snows. For today look for some light snow's possibly mixed with some drizzle. No more than a few tenths of an inch.

2-22-11

February 22, 2011
Picked up right around 2.5" last night into this morning. The storm for Friday isn't trending as far north on the models as I would have liked to see at this point. There is still time, but I will go with 3-5" of Friday.  The next one to watch will be this upcoming Sun. That could bring another 4-6"  or more. Have a good one.
